The special issue of European Planning Studies (Vol. 32, Issue 11) ’Agents of change in old industrial and non-metropolitan regions’ edited by Nadir Kinossian (Leibniz Institute for Regional Geography, Leipzig), Markus Grillitsch (Lund University) and Erika Nagy (HUN-REN KRTK RKI, Békéscsaba) has been published recently. The studies contribute to the ongoing debates on agency in regional development, including papers which discuss the results of the project ’Agents of change in old industrial regions’ (ACORE) funded by the Volkswagen Foundation. The paper ’Towards a greener future? Environment and economic recovery in old industrial regions’ written by research fellows of our Institute, Erika Nagy, Melinda Mihály, Gergely Tagai is also available in the issue.
