Thematic Innovation Ecosystem Building Workshop in Győr

PilotInnCities project

PilotInnCities, a project focused on fostering smart city innovation ecosystems, kicked off its series of thematic workshops on September 11, 2024. The theme of this inaugural event, hosted by Széchenyi István University of Győr, was “Infrastructure and Financing.” The event, organized by Neumann Technology Platform (NTP) and HROD.net Community Development Nonprofit Ltd. (HROD), focused on building innovation ecosystems for smart cities. It delved into infrastructure-related smart innovations and explored optimal financing opportunities to ensure effective project execution.

Speakers at the opening ceremony included Csaba Menczer, Strategic Director of NTP; Mariann Ditzendyné Frank, Managing Director of HROD.net Community Development Nonprofit Ltd.; Tamás Kolossváry, Head of the Innovation Park of Széchenyi István University Győr and Arisztid K. Ditzendy, director of HROD. On the workshop took part also the colleague of our Institute, László Jóna.

The workshop provided a platform for introducing the PilotInnCities project and its current progress. It also featured presentations on innovative pilot developments in the field and facilitated a productive discussion on sustainable transport and road safety, community planning of municipal infrastructure, and even plans for the development of hydrogen bus public transport infrastructure.
