A Bolgár Tudományos Akadémia Nemzeti Geofizikai, Geodéziai és Földrajzi Intézetében (NIGGG), Szófiában került sor 2023. szeptember 5-én arra a kutatói szemináriumra, amelyen a résztvevők a térség szuburbanizációs folyamatairól, valamint a régió demográfiai, gazdasági, gazdaságfejlesztési jellemzőiról hallhatnak előadásokat. Az eseményen Magyarországról Intézetünk Nyugat-magyarországi Tudományos Osztálya (NYUTO, Győr), valamint a Dunántúli Tudományos Osztálya (DTO, Pécs) vett részt az együttműködésben. A projekt vezetői Prof. Dr. Nadezhda Ilieva (Bulgária) és Prof. Dr. Hardi Tamás (Magyarország).
